Little Free Pantry at Advent

Our Little Free Pantry

Advent has a Little Free Pantry (LFP) next to the sidewalk leading to the church. The LFP is a food pantry that works like the “Take one/Leave one” Little Free Libraries. It is available 24/7/365 to provide help to anyone that needs help. Its contents are provided by members and ministries of Advent. The need is such that the LFP empties within a week.

It usually contains canned goods, soups, fruit cups, granola bars, toilet paper, diapers, toothbrushes, peanut butter, tuna and chicken salad. Since Food Stamps cannot be used for non-food items, there is always a demand for non-food items like diapers, baby wipes, and toilet paper.

The LFP was built with the youth of Advent, on Earth Day, using recycled materials where possible.

Hebrews 13:16; ”Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.”.
